Distillery Focus – Royal Brackla
The Royal Brackla distillery is located near Nairn, on the Cawdor Estate, which is in the Highland region of Scotland. It has been operating since 1812 when it was built by Captain William Fraser of Brackla House.
A distillery quite literally Fit for a King, Royal Brackla was the first Scotch whisky ever granted a Royal Warrant, by King William IV in 1833 – The King’s Own Whisky, still reigning true today. The distillery’s style is opulent and fruity with rich sherried notes. Every expression of Royal Brackla is finished in the finest first-fill sherry casks, sourced directly from Spain to ensure an opulent outcome for a noble drink.
A truly wonderful and elegant distillery. Rarely do these casks with naming rights come on the market.
